Summary The authors report a case of bullous tinea pedis caused by Trichophyton violaceum with dermatophytid reaction in a 26-year-old woman who had been in Africa. Diagnosis was based on mycological examination (direct microscope observation and culture). Recovery was achieved after systemic antimycotic therapy with itraconazole and topical imidazole for a month. Published 9 May 2006 in Mycoses, 49(3): 249-50.
